My mission is to help you connect deeper to yourself and the community around you

Hello. I’m jen

Throughout my life, I’ve been on the search for more meaning and deeper connections. Growing up as a dancer, I felt connected mentally and physically. Yet it wasn’t until later I started practicing yoga and began to understand the spiritual aspect of the practice as a way to connect to source energy.

Certified to teach at Kripalu School of Yoga in 2013, I now have over 1,000 hours of advanced training. Specialization in mediation, pranayama, ashtanga, therapeutics, Thai massage, yin yoga, and aerial yoga. I teach for Equinox, Pure Yoga, and Humming Puppy in NYC. Most recently I’ve taken on the role of Lead Teacher at Humming Puppy.

Currently, I’m a candidate for a Master of the Arts in Yoga Studies with a concentration in Yoga Therapy from Loyola Marymount University.

When I teach classes or work with clients one-on-one, I draw on a range of modalities and life experiences including:

  • Kripalu Yoga

  • Meditation

  • Strength and Conditioning

  • Restorative Yoga

  • Yoga Therapy & Anatomy

  • Ashtanga Yoga

  • Acrobatics & Thai massage

  • Yin Yoga

My Yoga journey

I first discovered yoga in college while studying dance at Rutgers University. Yoga was prescribed by my dance teachers as a way to build strength and stability in overly mobile joints. However it wasn’t love at first sight, there were many aspects of the practice I thought were pointless or just boring. Yet overtime, yoga became an essential tool to overcome personal obstacles within myself. Today my goal is to share the life-changing power of yoga to help others live a more fulfilling life.

I believe passionately that yoga contains transformative power that can be accessed by everyone. It is our duty to find that place inside our heart that really wants to evolve and be dedicated wholeheartedly to that.
